I'm a formally trained scientist with an MSci in Physics, an MSc in Science Communication and a PhD in Chemical Engineering. I currently split my work between science consultancy, teaching and research, where I specialise in the diverse microstructures of just about any food you can imagine! And yes, that includes beer...
I've been lucky enough to work on science based programming for a range of production companies and major broadcasters where I've worked from both the production side and as an external expert on an off camera. I've worked on big (and not so big) budget shows, where science has varied from tabletop explanations to literally death defying science stunts.
I currently offer consulting and presenting services alongside my scientific research. This has ranged from simple fact checking, to script writing, GFX design, experiment/visualisation design, and appearing on-camera as an expert contributor and as a presenter.
